A summer feeling tour along the water and holiday fun for everyone!
Having the habit of doing it in the other direction, it brings a new vision of this still beautiful lake.
Lac du Der-Chantecoq!🤩 If you want great calm and nature during this time, it’s there! 😜 So that was the first thing to do: go around this very beautiful lake... It is without difficulty in this "flat country" 😉 that we also cross the very beautiful national forest of Der. The perimeter is largely on the dikes with superb views of the lake and the numerous migratory birds, well monitored for their peace and quiet. There is no doubt that the summer period should welcome quite a few people given the very well-organized campsites and tourist facilities....marina...beaches..😎 In the meantime, it's definitely worth it! 👌😊
Today it was only around 24°C, so we set off on the tour around the lake. We were rewarded with wonderful views, and a visit to the Lac du Der museum village was a highlight. The entire route is paved, has almost no elevation gain, and is therefore ideal for cycling with the whole family. There are swimming spots and places to stop for refreshments along the way.

A truly relaxing ride around Lac du Der. No cars for over 30km—now that's what I call optimal traffic management!
Tower strewn with small campsites and very nice snack restaurants. Water sports, pedalo, boat rental, tree climbing! Perfect for solo, duo, or family!
I've never seen Lac de Der with so little water, it's catastrophic!!
