This route was planned by komoot.
The Gaisbergrundweg runs around the Gaisberg at an altitude of around 1000 meters. This year there is already snow at this altitude, but the path is still almost entirely free. The way is easy, you can also see prams. As an exception, I went up (otherwise I always go) to sit comfortably in the sun somewhere and read the newspaper, but unfortunately there was a blanket of clouds right over the Gaisberg and hardly any sun was shining through. So I took it as a sporting activity and marched around at a brisk pace. At the Zistelalm I got pumpkin cream soup and potato wedges with two dips.
Take the bus to the Zistelalm (on weekdays, the bus only runs every 90 minutes). The Zistelalm is only open on weekends. Beautiful walk. Easy, wide path – also suitable for strollers. We saw a slowworm on the trail.
To Salzburg to the Gaisberg circular route. Started from the free parking lot at the Zistelalm, which was full at lunchtime when we returned. It is recommended to take the bus from Mirabellgarten. Today with both sons, what a joy. 👍🥰 Great view of Salzburg from the observation bridge.👍 At home the fire alarm went off, it is new and of higher quality than the others. 🙈 The neighbors wrote to us. There are many unnecessary fire service missions due to defective or empty batteries.
On October 28, 2021 drive by car up the Gaisberg to the Zistlalm (1000 m). From there hike around the Gaisberg on the circular hiking trail. Wonderful weather and a fantastic panorama. Beautiful autumn colors. Walking time about 1 3/4 hours.
Today, four of us went on a day trip to the Gaisberg. We first did the Gaisberg circular trail and then took the bus to the Gaisbergspitze.
Was a very nice round. With the city bus up the mountain and back.
It says 'Alpine Way' at the beginning... I call that a huge exaggeration!
