This route was planned by komoot.
End of our Lauterbrunn panorama tour. over the Sulegg it goes along the ridge to the Lobhorns. This is easy to walk and on the whole relatively wide, there is only one place where you need your hands. Then it went down past the cable car to Isenfluh and from here with the post bus back to Lauterbrunn
Today's plan was to hike up from Sulwald via Sousegg to the Lobhörner. Hoping there wouldn't be too many low-hanging clouds, I wanted to make a detour to the Schwalmere. This idea quickly vanished, however, because the Lobhörner were shrouded in fog that morning, and visibility was virtually nonexistent. Today, the logic seemed to hold: the closer you are to the Lobhörner, the more clouds there are. So I took the unmarked hiking trail along the ridge to Sulegg and back via the Lobhorn Hut. Or to put it another way: away from the thick clouds. Today, the focus wasn't on the landscape (I'd already seen that on sunny days). No, the whole day was a wild sun-and-cloud festival. It's incredible what mystical impressions nature has unleashed today. That doesn't make my bucket list any shorter, but whatever. The main thing is to have a great day, have fun, and return safely!
The highlight is the cute train before the tour. 🤩 Space for 8 people or a cow, according to the website.
Today we set out on one of the most beautiful ridge hikes. The small cable car took us from Isenfluh to Sulwald. The view was clear, with no fog in sight. From Alp Chüebode, we ascended the more moderate route to the Lobhörner. We skirted the striking peaks on the west side and skipped the small Lobhorn, the northernmost peak. Clouds gathered above us – reason enough to head straight for the Sulegg Ridge. The path was magnificent, the panorama breathtaking. We soon reached the Höji Sulegg. The descent led steeply down to the Lobhorn Hut, where we took a well-deserved break. Afterwards, we hiked leisurely back to Sulwald. The cable car, post bus, and train took us safely and quickly back home. A wonderful ridge hike! The Sulegg Ridge, however, is not an official hiking trail – surefootedness and sturdy footwear are essential, and it should be avoided in wet conditions.
Wonderful hike to the Lobhörner and the ridge path via Nideri Sulegg to the Höjie Sulegg with a fantastic view of Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. We bypassed the exposed key point (rock crossing), which should not be underestimated, shortly after the Lobhörner, by descending to the east, with only a few additional meters in altitude.
