This route was planned by komoot.
The whole tour was actually supposed to start with a round trip, taking the Friedrichshafen-Romanshon ferry to Rorschach, about 15 km further on, and including a visit to the sand sculpture competition right at the harbor. It was only here that I started the tour.
Nice bike tour for everyone, even without an e-bike. Only from Lindau to Langenargen does it get a little strenuous here and there but is feasible. You should also leave the actual Lake Constance cycle path in some cities and drive to the center, there is a lot to see and always a stop
Weather was better than indicated. Good to "experience" in one day despite the many breaks in Bregenz and Lindau. I liked Lindau much better than Bregenz, the old town center is very well preserved.
Early this morning, I had blue skies at home, but it was already foggy on Lake Constance. I cycled most of the Lake Constance cycle path. It's not a problem now in the off-season, but on a nice summer weekend, it's likely to be quite crowded. On the German side, you only see the lake sporadically; on the Austrian side, it's better.
Nice round through 3 countries. Actually back across the lake with the ferry, didn't look at the timetable, came too late. Then by train... 😀
We had a good and cheap lunch at the Waldheim restaurant on the Bodenseeradweg in Hard. Grill plate for 11.90 incl. soup and salad from the buffet. The wiener schnitzel was also huge...
