Nice round, variants. Basic fitness and good footwear should be available. Wonderful path through the gorge. Then go back around the top. Not suitable for prams or wheelchairs.
Hike to the very small Starzlachklamm. There were alpine paths, but overall a nice introductory tour 👣📷☀️👩❤️👨
Since the weather forecast for today promised a (actually) dry morning and the rain wasn't expected to come until the afternoon, I looked for a short tour nearby. So we drove to neighboring Burgberg to walk the Starzlachklamm. The gorge may not be quite as well-known and not quite as big as the Breitachklamm, but in my opinion it is no less worth seeing! We set off on the approach route with dry feet and the first canyoning group arrived at the entrance to the gorge. We paid €4 per person and climbed into the gorge. The path runs very close to the rocks and the sides are repeatedly changed over bridges. Sometimes quieter, sometimes louder, the constant roar of the water of the Starzlach accompanies us as it squeezes through the rocks. As we continued, another canyoning group abseiled through the waterfalls and rock faces. After about 30 minutes we leave the Starzlachklamm through a narrow rock gate and continue our way uphill as the rain starts to fall. Coming out of the forest, we cross a meadow and leave Alpe Topfen on the right. It's slowly getting uncomfortable on the hill. We return via the Nothaldeweg, which otherwise offers beautiful views, but unfortunately not today! We finally arrive back at the parking lot, slightly soaked! The Starzlachklamm is worth it and is a good alternative when the weather is not so great! I made a circular route out of it. You could also go back through the gorge on the way back.
We used Easter Monday to take a detour to the nearby Starzlach Gorge. After the really beautiful gorge, it went steeply uphill to the Gasthof Alpenblick, which lived up to its name. All the outside tables were occupied, so I asked a strange couple if we could sit at the Nikon enthusiasts table with a Canon camera. They made an exception and so we had some fun🤣 and also talked shop a bit. We probably sat there a little long, because in the evening I was slightly blushing. Another quick Affogato, which I didn't know until this Allgäu excursion, and further over a small hill, this time steeply downhill, back to the starting point.
You can hear the rushing, splashing and thundering of the Starzlach Gorge near Sonthofen in Oberallgäu from afar. And the closer you get to this natural experience, the more impressed you are by the power of the water. The path through the gorge is well secured with railings and steel cables. The narrow trail leads over several bridges and footbridges as well as under overhanging rock faces. The huge rock formations and boulders washed out by the water left a powerful impression on us! A popular local adventure is canyoning. We were very lucky to be able to watch a group of part-time crazy people at the foot of the gorge on the final slide. Respect!!! It feels like you have reached the end of the gorge very quickly. We decided to climb up a very easy and secured via ferrata to the signposted Alpenblick. What a view of the surrounding mountains❤ If you follow the signs "Parkplatz Winkel" from the mountain inn, hikers can look forward to more amazing views of mountain peaks on the way down, which will immediately burn into your memory! Conclusion: Small, but very fine (the round)🥰
At the moment, at the parking lot in the village of Winkel, there is a hint to only walk up the gorge. But it is not taken that seriously. One or two people were already coming towards us.
Probably one of the classics in the Allgäu - the Starzlachklamm. Not huge but very fine and z. B. great to hike on an entertaining circular route. Canyoning fans also get their money's worth here. For a day tour you can optionally combine it with a hike over the "Grünten".
On the first day of our vacation we wanted to take it easy. After lots of tips and finding hikes ourselves, the Starzlachklamm seemed appropriate and appropriate for today's humid, warm temperatures. We started in "Winkel" from the hiking car park. But the parking ticket machine took away all our anticipation of the planned day..... The change machine "spat out" the coins we wanted, but the parking ticket machine didn't want to take any money 🤭.... Illegal parking is out of the question! We are honest citizens 😉, so we need the app.... But how, in a dead zone🤔??? After about 30 minutes of walking back and forth and a few meters out of the dead zone, it finally worked👍 Day ticket €4.50. Finally we're off😄... The gorge has a different, beautiful charm than the Breitachklamm. The footbridges and bridges have been perfectly restored. At the end of the gorge there was another strenuous climb over hill and dale. We were rewarded with a visit to the Sennalpe😍😋
