In May, the irises begin to bloom in the Eriskircher Ried. Innumerable Siberian irises, as the iris is actually called, open their blue flowers on the damp meadows. Yellow water irises shine in between. The wide reed belts offer protected breeding grounds for water birds, and woodpeckers and rare songbirds can be heard in the floodplain forests. Friedrichshafen Castle Church

The Irsi flower is fading, but still beautiful. I like the Eriskircher Ried, but definitely take Autan Spray with you. The mosquitoes are bad.
