Hiking
A great hike to one of the most popular mountains in the Tannheim Valley.
A popular hike in the most beautiful high valley in Europe. A beautiful mountain backdrop is waiting for you. The way to the Bad Kissinger hut and further to the Aggenstein is certainly a little strenuous, but a wonderful view rewards the effort of the ascent. The last stretch just before the summit must be walked with caution, pay attention to your safety.
Directions:
Straight ahead from the Enge car park, heading north to the Lumberg houses. First turn right and then immediately left again. Through the barrier to the cattle pasture and continue following the signs to the Bad Kissinger Hütte. Sometimes a little steeper, but nice ascent on different surfaces.
Once at the Bad Kissinger Hütte, it is not far to the summit, but you should not underestimate the climb. Watch out! Partly rope safety device available, therefore surefootedness and a head for heights are necessary, caution is required, especially when it is wet. Magnificent foresight from the Aggenstein in all directions. The descent to the Bad Kissinger Hütte follows the same route. Continue downhill towards Seben Alpe and turn right at the first junction.
The path goes through wooded area, pasture and crosses the stream a few times. Moderately steep, it goes down quickly. Soon the route meets the path on which we went up. The car park in Grän / Enge is reached relatively quickly, possibly with a short rest.
Tip:
Nice tour, great view, great refreshments in the Bad Kissinger hut.

Really beautiful and now almost completely snow-free summit in the Tannheimertal. It was a fantastic kick-off tour for this year's hiking season 👍
In fantastic weather, we climbed to the Bad Kissinger Hut and continued on to the Aggenstein. Due to the thaw, entire streams repeatedly met us on the trail uphill 😜. The descent towards Sebenalpe was still covered in snow in the clearings, so that in some places we fell through up to our hips. According to some experienced hikers, the Brentenjoch is not recommended at this time.
A really worthwhile tour. Good condition would be good 👍 At the Kissinger Hütte there is delicious food with a fantastic view. The last piece "Ascent to Aggenstein" looks more difficult than it is. A bit of climbing with safety ropes but no exposed areas. When the weather is nice, there's a lot going on at the summit, but the view...... terrific 👋👍
A beautiful summit experience that you have to share with many other hikers when the weather is good, especially on weekends. There are often traffic jams on the last stretch between Bad Kissinger Hütte and the summit. Especially in the last few meters, which are rope-insured, it's an unpleasant experience.
... should I... shouldn't I... should I... I MUST!! 😬😎🤣 Since 20 meters before the summit cross the rope was hidden under the snow and there was a somewhat - for me critical - snow passage to be negotiated, the question arose. But today the summit won💙 Wonderful up there 🥰 .. made a nice and funny acquaintance and the two of us made our way home via the Bad Kissinger Hut and the Sebenalm. Thank you very much Sigrid for the wonderful and fun descent 🤗👍
2300 meters of altitude. That's a word 💪. Well, ok. My watch is to blame, which unfortunately has spun. In fact, it must have been almost 900. This time it started at night under the starry sky. By the time the morning sun came out, I was almost in front of the Bad Kissinger Hütte ☀️. The chamois also enjoyed the morning sun. Unfortunately too far away to be able to take good pictures of it with a cell phone.
Unfortunately the time given is incorrect, I would have loved to have reached the top so quickly 😉. It took us 2.44 hours 😎.
