This beautiful and very varied round trip through the Ester Mountains will make every mountain biker's heart beat faster: great trail descents and top-class alpine pasture refreshment options await you on 28 kilometers of mountain fun.

You start your tour at the Wankbahn car park on the outskirts of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. First, it goes up to the Esterbergalm - very steep in places. After the tough climb, you can take a breather and then cycle along a beautiful forest path through the Finzbachtal in the heart of the Ester Mountains.

A beautiful single trail takes you from there to the Gschwandtnerbauer, where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Wetterstein massif and have a good meal. At the foot of the Wank, you then return to Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Wonderful tour. Conditionally quite demanding. After 3km up to 28% incline. At the top, 2 really nice alpine pastures await. However, I drove on. Nicely rideable high-altitude path.
