This 48-kilometer round trip through the Loisach Valley to Ohlstadt is a real pleasure tour for the whole family, as it has hardly any inclines and leads along shady cycle paths along the river.
You start at the train station in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and first cycle a bit through the town until you reach the banks of the Loisach. In the Loisach Valley, you cycle relaxed and traffic-free past flower-filled moors and swamps, you can watch birds at small ponds and you will soon arrive in Ohlstadt.
The small town invites you to stroll and stop for a bite to eat. In the many cafés, you can comfortably watch the hustle and bustle and enjoy an ice cream before you cycle along the Loisach through beautiful nature back to the starting point in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

A leisurely bike ride for two through the Loisach Valley. It's not strenuous, as it's flat.
Super nice tour in wonderful weather. We recommend
After the rainy days 🫣 finally sunshine again 🌞 The tour started in Ohlstadt with the Zugspitze 🏔️ always in view along the Loisach. Through beautiful places and landscapes in the Loisach valley 🏞️ In between we climbed the summit of the Zugspitze 🏔️ 🤣 and took the raft towards Munich 🤣 to Partenkirchen ⛪ then back through moorland areas 🍀 past the 7️⃣ springs to Ohlstadt 🚴
The tour (my own BR bike tour) goes from Murnau am Staffelsee along the Loisach to Garmisch Partenkirchen. This tour is to my liking. It goes through nature and there is no traffic noise to be heard (at least on a Sunday morning). There is also a lot to see and the "blue land" as it is called here is really beautiful!
Let's go on the big tour around the Zugspitze. The weather was great when we arrived today🌞 - hopefully it stays that way🙏 If you travel by train like I do today, you could tell novels - just this much - dear train for improvements there would still be a lot of room for improvement. I got off in Murnau and cycled the last 30 km to the starting point of the tour in Garmisch. A pleasure! You drive through the wonderful Murnauer Moos always with a view of the mountains and suddenly you are right in the middle. You should really do it more often!
Beautiful bike ride along the Loisach to Murnau. The tour first goes from Partenkirchen through Ludwigstrasse. Shortly after the Wankbahn turnoff, the route takes you onto the Loisach cycle path. Over an asphalt cycle path past meadows, always with the beautiful mountain panorama in view, the path leads towards Oberau. Following the tour you come next to Eschenlohe. Shortly before Murnau it goes up a bit through the spa park to the train station.
