On this hike you will discover beautiful nature and exciting culture around Eisenach - it doesn't get much more varied than this. You start hiking at the hiking car park in Mariental and first head for Eisenach. Your route takes you through the city, past the most beautiful places and most interesting sights.

Then you hike out of the city and climb up to the Wartburg. After visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site, you walk through a shady forest to the enchanted elf grotto. Especially on hot days, it is pleasantly cool here and really nice to linger. Then it is not far to the hiking car park, where you reach the starting point again.
