The Friedrichshafener Hütte is a well-kept mountain inn built from natural stone and is located at 2,151 meters in the Verwall group, about 700 meters above Mathon. From the starting point - the car park of the Friedrichshafener Hütte in the Valzur district, the shortcut takes just under two hours up to the hut.
The first part of the path runs through the forest, above the tree line there are impressive views towards Ischgl and Galtür with their local mountains "Rauer Kopf" and "Gorfenspitze".
The path winds its way up to the hut in 16 bends. A small lake right next to the hut completes the picture perfectly and offers some cooling on hot summer days. If you stay overnight in Galtür, you can also reach the Friedrichshafener Hütte via the impressive 1,000 meter altitude path (steep and not suitable for strollers).
Families can also take a detour to the nearby wildlife park after – or before – the hike: https://www.komoot.de/highlight/250412.
