A fantastic circular hiking trail in snow, sunshine, and sub-zero temperatures. The frozen moor is completely white – simply wonderful.
A wonderful, varied walk, not just for Easter. You can find even more excursion ideas in my free newsletter (https://berlinspazierer.de/newsletter/)
A long time ago, we went along the Tegeler Fließ with Dad. Back then, it was still in the shadow of the Wall, which we fortunately no longer have to fear. So now it was also possible to take a detour into the surrounding area.
Hello Zombie! Thank you for your positive response to my few remaining hikes!
Very nice natural circuit, moor, meadows, inland dunes and an old village square... in the middle of Berlin you get an absolute holiday feeling
Green wet meadows, moorland, boardwalks. Beautiful, but you can't stop, otherwise the 'nasty monster mosquito' will come and feast on it. Splashing afterwards included... Tip: take a detour to the moor island (photo 7). If someone walks or jumps next to you on the soft ground, the ground sways noticeably.
As part of the Barnimer Dorfweg, I always cycled or walked a section along the Tegeler Fliess. The loop as a whole was new to me though and I highly recommend it. Everything nice to walk, no section without nature. Of course, the boardwalks that meander directly over the moor are particularly beautiful. The detour to Café Rosarot not far from the circular route was free (because it is currently closed), but to our delight we were able to enjoy the home-made cake we deserved at a small market in Lübars, where there were other delicacies. What a Sunday happiness!
We started from the village center of Alt-Lübars across the fields. You can park at the church. The first few meters are next to horse paddocks and across moorland meadows, so you need sturdy shoes. 🥾 After that, the footbridge and paved trails alternate through the landscape. The entire route is used by trekking bikers and the paths are sometimes not particularly wide, so you have to pay attention to the path. 🚴♀️ The hike also leads through a nature reserve and is known for good bird watching spots - the advantages are that there are some information boards and shady benches with trash cans. 🌳 The tour is very varied in terms of scenery; halfway along the route you pass dunes in the forest, which are used by local residents for sunbathing and by children. ⛰️ You then reach the small lake. The view is picturesque, but unfortunately the water is quite brackish. It's just a moor. The last section leads back to the town center. There is also a restaurant here.
