This route was planned by komoot.
Today the weather wasn't as bad as reported, but we had planned a day off. So this little tour through the Silberkarklamm was a good idea. This gorge is not very big, what makes it special are the three climbing routes (difficulty up to D), two directly in the gorge and one in the valley behind it, as well as the ladder climb next to the waterfall. The hut is closed on Monday, but that doesn't matter, we're too fat anyway ;-) This gave us time today to plan a little for the next few days so that we can get something decent done. There was too little time to prepare at home this time
Did a smaller but nice round today. On the way back from the Silberkarklamm via the high path, sure-footedness was required as there were steep sections over roots. In some places we had to “climb” a bit, but the places were secured with ropes to hold on to.
A very nice tour which you can do even in bad weather. Those who make the way back via the Höhenweg should have good shoes and be sure-footed.
Also great with children. But you should be able to manage 6 km on your own. At the Silberkarhütte you can stop off and enjoy the great buttermilk with strawberries, for example.
The Silberkarklamm with the hut of the same name costs €5 per person to enter. It would be nice if it were included in the Summer Card, but it isn't. No matter 😑 it's beautiful again 🥰. The path is quite strenuous and you can do 3 difficult to particularly difficult short via ferratas. We only hiked but the via ferratas look pretty tough. The best time is early in terms of parking spaces, but late in the morning in terms of light.
Recording only started at the end of the gorge...super nice.. Walked back from the hut along the high trail...heavy...slick after rain.. Highlight of the ibex on the way...incredibly beautiful experience
The mountain path is super beautiful 😍 but not without it. The weather conditions should be dry, you should be sure-footed and, if possible, not afraid of heights.
