On this hike, you can expect the 2,131-meter-high Höferspitze – a beautiful panoramic mountain with impressive views of the Kleinwalsertal valley, the rocky Widderstein, the Braunarl massif, and down to Schröcken.
The trail begins at the Hochtannbergpass. There are ample parking facilities at the Gasthaus Adler inn. Alternatively, you can easily reach the starting point with bus lines 709 and 852 from Warth. A narrow, steep path leads from here through the quiet, original mountain landscape steadily uphill until you reach the Hochalppass turn-off – a suitable place for a short breather.
Afterwards, follow the path westwards to the Höferkamm ridge. From here, surefootedness, a head for heights, and steady breathing are required, as the path is narrow and exposed in places. The summit is reached soon after, where you can proudly sign the summit book. The way back is via the same path.
The tour is generally easy to moderately difficult, but children should be led on a rope at exposed sections and on slippery ground.
