This route was planned by komoot.
Today we took the steepest cog railway in the world up to the Pilatus, Lucerne's local mountain. Unfortunately, the weather only allowed limited hikes, which is why we only walked the paths with railings. It was just too unstable and windy. But it was worth it! A breathtaking view (especially from the donkey summit) made you content and happy. We had rain, sun, wind and clouds!🥰🌫
The pictures are not sorted, there were technical problems....
Oh, it is a little tiring to climb a mountain in the sun every few days while the working population sits in the fog below.😁 And it was beautiful.🐞 The hike was neither long nor tiring, just wonderful.🏞️ From the Esel, the highest point of the Pilatus (2119m), it is not far (1.6km) to the Tomlishorn (2128m) and then of course back again. With good company you can easily spend the whole day up here in the sun.☀️ The Alpine choughs were also good entertainers, especially for the Indian tourists and for us too.🐦⬛ It was beautiful, oh yes, I already mentioned it.😄
After the delicious breakfast, we headed straight to the Tomlishorn with full stomachs before the day guests arrive on the mountain. With the 25 hotel guests who were here tonight, there is no danger of the mountain being overcrowded 😁 The path that runs along the mountain to the Tomlishorn has many information signs about the plants growing there. Every now and then there is a bench from which you can enjoy the great view. From Tomlishorn there is a beautiful 360 degree panoramic view.
