Yes, this stage is considered easy and is particularly well-suited for beginners and families. The route is predominantly flat with minimal elevation changes and mostly paved surfaces, making it a relaxing and enjoyable ride for all skill levels.
The terrain is largely flat, following the Nidau-Büren Canal and the Aare River. Most of the surfaces are paved, providing a smooth and accessible ride for touring bicycles.

Further along, you'll pass the Witi Nature Reserve Center and the scenic Aare Bend Between Solothurn and Selzach before reaching Solothurn with its iconic View of the Krummturm, Solothurn.
The route is approximately 33 kilometers long and typically takes around 2 hours and 11 minutes to complete by touring bicycle. However, this duration can vary depending on your pace and how often you stop to enjoy the scenery or explore points of interest.
The best time to cycle this route is generally from spring through autumn, when the weather is pleasant and the natural scenery is at its most vibrant. These seasons offer comfortable temperatures for cycling and good conditions for wildlife viewing in areas like the Witi conservation area.

Unfortunately my sat nav or I had too hot so 2 parts 😎
Stage 8 Today it will be hot again, 31 degrees Celsius, so we are not upset that our tour is only 35 km long and flat, namely to Solothurn. We leave Biel on the Nidau-Büren canal and cycle straight on to Büren. We take a walk around the pretty little town, visit the church, which is currently being prepared for a wedding, and treat ourselves to a coffee right by the canal. We now continue along the Aare towards Altreu, a stork village. The clattering of storks from their nests is unmistakable. Later we have a picnic on the Aare, where there are many places where people who like to swim jump into the water. We think Solothurn is very worth seeing. There is so much to discover and admire in the baroque town that we would like to stay longer... but tomorrow we are heading on to Aarau - that is the plan.
