Alba to Pian Trevisan Loop

With this MTB Tour, starting from Alba di Canazei, you will reach the Hotel Villetta Maria, in Pian Trevisan, the hiking starting point for the Fedaia pass and the Marmolada.

From the center of Alba, cycle north, towards the end of the town. Cross the state road and take the dirt road that passes by the side of the Hotel Villa Rosella. At the wooden bridge you reach the opposite bank of the Avisio stream.

Follow the trail no. 605 entering the woods, alternating short ramps with long flat stretches. Go up the valley until you cross the provincial road of the Fedaia pass near the "Pènt de Giaveisc" bridge.

Travel about a kilometer on the road until you leave the main road and continue right on the dirt road which, passing next to an aggregate quarry, leads to Pian Trevisan, where Villetta Maria stands.

The mass and verticality of the looming Gran Vernel take your breath away and constantly maintain the shadow. To return from the hotel, get onto the main road of the Fedaia pass, where you can see the first bends, and follow it for about fifty metres.

At the third bend, take forest road no. 8 which comes off on the left. The route climbs with a constant slope up to the downhill path, which then becomes Strèda de Treve, towards the villages of Vera and Lorenz. Cross the entire hamlet of Penìa to finally rejoin the main road and thus return to the starting point.
