Start and finish was in Neuenegg, forgot to start Komoot! 😲 Plus approx. 10 km and approx. 170 vertical meters
Today I was out and about in Switzerland again, in the beautiful Fribourg region! I haven't counted the hills that go up and down constantly😂😅.... The Sense heart loop welcomes you charmingly with the small Bernese town of Laupen, which lies at the river crossing of the Sense, the gateway to the Fribourg region. From here you are invited to trust the meandering paths through the hills of the Sense region, the little-known, German-speaking part of the canton. After just a few kilometers you can enjoy the lush green power that runs seamlessly through hills, forests and secluded valleys. Little by little you climb higher and higher to reach the first vantage point in Rechthalten, which offers a view far over the country. Shortly afterwards you reach the highest point, directly above Plaffeien, with a view of the Gantrisch region. From here there is a lively dance along the barely visible Sense, which has eaten its way deep into the hills. Chapels and wayside crosses adorn the side of the path, the view glides over to the Bernese Schwarzenburg region, and also touches on it in the village of Albligen, an exclave on this side of the Sense. Right at the end, the lively Sense emerges from the gorge and accompanies us for the last half hour to the starting point in Laupen.
