Hiking
With this Tour you dive into a sea of very white rocks, reaching towards the sky, characteristic of the Dolomites.
To get to the starting point, you can reach Pampeago or Predazzo by local public transport or by car, then leaving it in one of the car parks. From here, you can walk towards the Feudo pass, where the route begins, or take advantage of the Latemar chairlift in Pampeago or the Latemar MontagnAnimata lifts in Predazzo.
Once at the pass, you head on path 516 towards the Torre di Pisa refuge. The climb becomes gentler and you continue up to the Camosci pass. You are in the heart of the Latemar group, among the spectacular Dolomite rocks. Then, you walk towards path 18 which takes you to the Latemar 360° viewing platform, whose shape resembles an ammonite.
While you enjoy the view, recover your energy to face the last stretch of slight climb and the descent to the Feudo pass which you reach along path 22.

We hiked the circular route clockwise! A unique hiking experience through the Latemar massif
Departure from the Feudo pass and following the 516 trail we reach the Torre di Pisa refuge (1.30) Small stop and departure x Oberholz passing x the Camosci fork, then following trail marker 18 we reach Oberholz (3.00) for expert walk with somewhat difficult passages. Breathtaking views passages between rocks and overhangs. Return with trail marker 18-22 to Passo Feudo (1.30) Challenging path and in some moments even more than demanding. As always accompanied by my 8 year old son and my wife Exciting experience.
Certainly one of the most spectacular hikes in the Dolomites and especially in Val d'Ega. The descent over the Gamsstallscharte in the direction of Obereggen is reasonably demanding and requires good shoes and sure-footedness. Not recommended for people who are afraid of heights. In good weather, the view is phenomenal and covers more or less the entire country of South Tyrol, from the Cevedale and Ortler groups to the Dolomites of Cortina d'Ampezzo (Antelao, Tofane, etc.) and south to the Lagorai group of the neighboring province of Trento .
Demanding high tour over approx. 4-5 hours with alpine character through the Gamsstallscharte and the center of the Latemar massif. As a result, there are always impressive mountain panoramas. An absolute recommendation for sporty and sure-footed mountain fans. The tour starts and ends at the Oberholz mountain station. The four-seater chairlift starts in Obereggen and ends at the Oberholz mountain station. Since the last descent takes place at 6 p.m., you should not start the tour after 11 a.m. Then there is still enough time for one or the other break on the way and a stop at the Pisa hut. From there, you should plan another 2 hours of walking to the Oberholz mountain station. The first piece is quite demanding, and you definitely have to take your time for it. After about half an hour, the path becomes flatter and can be walked quickly.
From Obereggen we take the chairlift to Oberholz: starting point of the tour🙂
Beautiful ride ... Without stops it takes 4 hours but stopping in a fief-type hut is worth it! Those who have dogs sometimes have to pick them up
Today from Obereggen with the chairlift to Oberholz. From there we hiked to an altitude of about 2700 meters. Unfortunately, the way back was not that tingling. Quite a lot of rubble. My condition could be improved.
I remember that it requires training. Stunning landscape level. We cross the entire massif. Technical descent.
