Hiking
If you want to fly, you have to climb - to the two highest peaks in the Siebengebirge. Not a summit type? Try it out...
Right from the start in Rhöndorf, you'll be heading uphill. After about eight kilometers through the forest, you'll celebrate your first summit party.
The way back takes you up the Löwenburg on narrow paths. Your second summit bliss awaits you here. To top it all off, you'll quickly head back over the Breiberge to the starting point of the tour.
A quick note: the sea of clouds up there isn't available on order, but the chances increase in late summer and autumn. By the way - if you want to have the peaks to yourself, it's better to set off when others are still in bed (sunrise) or on weekdays, for example.
And this is how you get out: Since this is a circular tour, the start and finish of the hike are at the Rhöndorf tram stop, which is served by line 66. If you prefer to take the train, you can take the RE 8 or RB 27 to Rhöndorf (Bad Honnef) station and start the hike from there.

I would particularly recommend visiting the Löwenburg ruins in a really nice hilltop setting.

On the way to the summit of the Löwenburg mountain you pass the "Three Lakes View". The Rhine can be seen between the mountains in three places🚶♂️🚶♀️🥰
