This nature trail takes you around Friedrichshöhe over beautiful mountain meadows with blooming arnica, through wonderful forests and mystical moors. With its two kilometers and flat terrain, it is ideal for families.
In Friedrichshöhe you will find parking spaces and a place to stop for a bite to eat. There is also a nature park center here with an exhibition worth seeing. The nature trail offers a lot of variety: it leads along wooden walkways through the moor, past the historic coat of arms stones on the Rennsteig. It then continues to a charcoal kiln, which gives you an insight into forest charcoal burning.
