This circular tour in the shape of a figure of eight takes you through the Sihlwald forest to the Hirzel and promises you a first-class panorama. It is recommended to you by a local handbike enthusiast.
The starting point is at the Sihlwald/Langenberg wilderness park, which has wheelchair parking spaces and a barrier-free toilet in the visitor center building. From here you cycle through the wilderness park for the first few kilometers, always along the Sihl. The route is flat, sometimes even slightly sloping, making it ideal for rolling in.
In Adliswil you leave the Sihl valley and master a first tough climb. After a flat intermediate section, the route then turns into a continuous uphill section that takes you to the Hirzel. Along the way, it is worth looking left and right every now and then to enjoy the great panorama. The views of Lake Zurich and the distant view of the Alps are breathtaking and also invite you to linger.
After you have reached the highest point of the tour, a rapid descent takes you back to the valley. This takes you partly over gravel, so be careful. You then cycle comfortably along the Sihl for the last two kilometers until you get back to the starting point of the tour.
