Hiking

The Bärenkopf offers a great view of the Achensee and the surrounding peaks of the Rofan and Karwendel mountains. A really nice and varied day mountain hike leads up to the summit at 1,991 meters. From Gasthof St. Hubertus (parking about 200 meters away), the slightly ascending path leads past a few of the 18 stations of the Reflection Path to the Rodlhütte-Bärenbadalm junction. Once there, you choose the path direction Bärenbadalm. From the managed Bärenbadalm you follow the path towards Bärenkopf. The path leads always ascending first through the forest in brighter terrain and further up through pines on a spacious plateau. From there the path leads you to the promising summit (1 x cable insurance).

Back you take either the same way or at the junction direction Weissenbachalm this path and then keep at the next fork in the direction always Bärenbadalm. There you can stop and take the same way back up to the valley.

The Bärenkopf is a 1,991 meter high mountain in the Rauer Knöll junction in the southeastern Karwendel, south of Pertisau on Lake Achensee in Tyrol.

Mountain hikers reach the summit in an easy three-hour hike from Pertisau; a few meters west of the summit plateau, a rocky step and another section of the path are secured with ropes.

You can also take the Karwendelbahn up to the Zwölferkopf, saving yourself 500 meters in altitude.

Super nice path, also doable with children. I find the path easier than difficult ;). The Bärenbadalm has vegetarian dishes, but no vegan ones.

Time, including breaks: Ascent from the lake in just under 2.5 hours; stunning panoramic views at the summit.
Both the ascent and descent are very beautiful and varied.

On the way to the Wilder Kaiser, I sweetened my journey with a beautiful hike. 🙂
From the parking lot of the Besinnungsweg (Contemplation Trail), I first walked along the ski slope. It was easy to walk, even though it was quite strenuous. Then I walked through a beautiful forest over roots and stones to the Bärenbad Alm.
From there, …

After we only arrived today, a less strenuous tour was actually planned. Since our hotel crashed our weekly plan, we had to reschedule. So it didn't happen with acclimatizing.

October 29, 2024,Bärenkopf - Achensee
Today we took advantage of the wonderful autumn weather again and hiked up the Bärenkopf. From Pertisau via the tunnel path to the Bärenbadalm, which is unfortunately already closed. And then on the direct route to the summit, where you need to be sure-footed in places. At the top of the summit you are rewarded with a fantastic view. We …

Ascent to Bärenkopf not made because there are some exposed spots. But even without the summit it was a very nice tour.

Today we walked from Pertisau to the Bärenkopf via the tunnel path to Bärenbadalm and further to the summit. From above you can see the Achensee in its entire length.

For the way into the valley we chose the route over the Weißenbachsattel.

I just wanted a little tour to get used to, but my wife had something else in mind 👍
The tour is simply wonderful 🍀
