This route takes you over roads that were already used on the legendary Zurich championship, the “Züri Metzgete”. On this lap you drive the southern part of the race. The climbs on this route will also play a role at the UCI Cycling and Para-Cycling Road World Championships Zurich 2024.
After you leave Zurich, things first go uphill. The Pfannenstiel offers you unusual views of Zurich and the surrounding area. You will climb the mountain twice before the loop takes you back to the starting point along the Greifensee recreational area. The change between mountain rides and fast downhill sections, between urban traffic and quiet side streets as well as city and country will make your racing bike heart beat faster.
The Pfannenstiel restaurant is particularly recommended for refreshments on the go. After the steep and strenuous climb, it's just the right place for a short break where you can enjoy the wonderful view from the terrace.
