The battery on my phone didn't quite last... From Locarno to the waterfall there and back 65 km 😎
Today, once again through the Valle Verzasca to Sonogno. As always, very beautiful :-) Also, as always, a strong headwind downhill...
Beautiful tour along the Verzasca River. Beautiful towns with old stone houses. The valley, the Verzasca River, the nature, and the landscape are all incredibly beautiful. Unfortunately, there's no bike path (except Trail 399), and the cars rush past so closely, it's a bit 😳. *The famous bridge Ponte dei Saldi *Efra Waterfall *The village of Sonogno with its beautiful old stone houses *Cascata della Froda *Cascata della Verzasca One of them isn't Easter Saturday, but rather it should be called Osteria Paradiso.
Today's destination was the Val Verzasca. In order not to lose 350 meters of altitude right at the start, we chose the connecting hiking trail outside Contra to the dam. Unfortunately, this is steeply sloping at the beginning and has steps and, in my opinion, is not rideable. So we managed the approx. 500 m and approx. 80 tm mostly by pushing. Nevertheless, it was a worthwhile "shortcut". The dam is impressive - unfortunately there was no bungee jumping today. Unfortunately, the path further into the valley mostly leads along the main road - luckily there was little traffic. So we were still able to enjoy the valley and the wild Verzasca. On the way back we drove to Tenero and after a refreshing sunset short stay in the lakeside resort of the campsite, we "flew" in turbo mode up to Contra.
The first part was a very relaxed Türli with family and in the second part I could really let off steam😛. The Verzascatrail was very exciting and could be raced through. Very interesting trail to the village of Bre found on a beautiful old Roman road. With the e-bike super mobile with biobike probably quite exhausting😇😊. The Cardadatrail down was 1A again today💪💪.
