Hiking

The ten-kilometer-long Ehrbachklamm dream loop, which starts in Oppenhausen, impresses with its spectacular panoramic and deep views. From the hiking car park you follow the tour into the forest, where the first wonderful panorama awaits you at Beulslay. Then you go down to the Stierwiese rest area and then you reach the wildly romantic Ehrbachklamm with its gorgeous waterfalls and steep valley slopes.

From the gorge, the dream loop zigzags you up to the next viewpoint - your view stretches far over the wooded hills. You continue past Peterslay to the valley of the Eltesbächelchen and then head uphill again to the next panoramic spot. You reach the Schäferbürchen spring via the Winkelholzberg and a little later you arrive back at the starting point.

Trail Reviews

June 12, 2024, 🌞 Ehrbachklamm 😘

By chance I was informed about this fantastic tour. After completing it I can say that the term fantastic is absolutely accurate.

A beautiful, varied tour, with different terrain and ropes for safety. Many beautiful viewpoints.

A very nice tour, in the most beautiful late autumn weather. It was very warm. What was very unpleasant was that there was a handkerchief every 30m on or right next to the path. I can not understand this. Is this the idea of a dream loop for some people? Dear hiking colleagues, if you think you have to do your business on or right next to the hiking trail, then please take your towels with you to the next rubbish bin. If you are thinking of putting tissues in your pocket, then put a small bag in your pocket to take your used tissues back with you. You want nice tours, then do something for it!

A great tour, I highly recommend it. However, sturdy shoes are essential, as there will be some climbing, some steep, uphill.

Beautiful tour. Hiked for the second time today.

A beautiful route. First next to the stream, then the 'rocky' section, with beautiful views. And a lot of sand lizards 🦎

Rest day with a surprise 😅... After my self-imposed rest day, with the caravan spotlessly clean and all the fluids hauled in and out, I had the idea for a little walk... Yesterday I saw a sign for the Ehrbach Gorge... 9 km long. I don't normally wear shoes for that 😅, but it's enough for a walk... Hehe, what an adventure... A fantastic walk 👏. I wasn't expecting anything, and there were new wonders around every corner... The gorge was simply fantastic... Along the riverbank, over hill and dale, and over beautiful bridges. A short detour into the Devil's Gorge and further through the gorge... The primeval forest gradually gave way to mountain paths, and the way back was just as exciting, over jagged rocks and through bizarre oak forests with stunning views of untouched nature, and not a single soul to be seen... Nice for a change 🤗

Wow, what a beautiful and varied hike. The path leads almost exclusively over nature trails with some rocky sections. When it's 26 degrees and it's sunny, it's especially fun to walk through the gorge, but the climb up to the ridge was also fun and challenging for us. Absolutely great. The tour should only be done in dry weather with hiking boots and with some experience.
