Meander past trees and a wealth of wildlife on this moderate route through some of the National Park’s hundreds of acres of forest.
The description ‘Moor to Sea’ could hardly sum up this section any better. The deep green sea of trees gives plenty of protection from the sun on a hot day, and you are treated to some excellent views over the dales below. Broxa Forest is a joy to ride through, and Reasty Hill on its northern edge offers truly spellbinding views of Harwood Dale and Fylingdales Moor to the north.
Your first, long-awaited glimpse of the sea comes shortly after the Falcon Inn, and the best views are from the Ravenscar headland at the end of the ride.
The ride is along a variety of surfaces and includes some steep hills. A word of warning – take extra care coming down from Highwood Brow car park, as sweeping through the trees gives the descent the feel of a ski run! Another steep bit is from the south towards the village of Broxa, but we have every confidence in you that you can pull it off!
