Today's tour, the "Ramseiden-Runde", is technically easy to drive. The classification as a "red" tour is due to the first long climb (520 m altitude gain over 5.6 km). The tour begins and ends in the center of Maria Alm at the valley station of the Natrunbahn and is the home tour of the locals from Maria Alm and Saalfelden. It begins with a 7.5 km long section on paved roads and paths, which, however, offers very beautiful views of the surrounding mountain landscape. From the Steinalm car park it becomes gravelly and significantly steeper. The path leads us through the forest for a good 4.5 km up around 450 m in altitude and offers beautiful views of the mountains in front of us in the German-Austrian border area and the Pinzgau grass mountains. After a total of 12 km we have reached the highest point of the tour and begin the descent, which leads over forest roads with many bends in places. On the Hochreith high plateau we again enjoy the breathtaking view back to the Steinernes Meer and then roll back to the starting point.
Super fantastic tour with a beautiful view of the Steinerne Meer and back via the Tauernradweg to Maria Alm - the round is not too strenuous and offers beautiful views of the entire area😍
