The Ifonche nature reserve is home to the famous Canary Island pine and offers the first natural environments in the west of the island. This loop starting from Adeje offers a route leaving urbanization to immerse yourself in nature. The route begins at the Piedra Redonda bus stop served by lines 416, 417 and 473.
From the starting point the route climbs through the alleys of Adeje. When you reach the heights, the first views of the coastline appear. You then embark on a small path which goes up to Boca del Paso. This rocky promontory allows you to enjoy a wide view of the west coast of the island.
You then dive towards the Ifonche protected reserve. The path winds pleasantly through the forest. When the vegetation parts, a view unfolds as far as Roque Imoque which can be seen in the distance. From then on, you switch to a long downhill section until you find the starting point.
The route passes over the heights of the village of Ifonche before going around Montaña Carrasco. Then the path plunges over a fairly demanding section which marks the return of the viewpoints on the coastline. Savor them before returning to the village of Adeje to complete this lovely route in the west of the island.
