The fourth Harvest Tour is dedicated to the northern part of the province of Varese. The Tour, in fact, starts from the Luino train station.

In the first kilometers you pedal alongside Lake Maggiore and you can warm up while admiring a splendid panorama.
In Maccagno the music changes. Turn right and take the road that goes towards Musignano. The climb is constant, with gradients around 7%. There is no shortage of panoramic points on Lake Maggiore, including the church of San Rocco, with the adjacent panoramic point of Campagnano.

Leave the road that leads to the Forcora pass for two kilometers: the detour to Lake Delio is worth the extra effort! Go back and climb up to the Forcora pass where you find a mountain environment, with a small church and a refuge where you can eat something.
Descend towards Veddasca and, subsequently, up to Maccagno, passing through the town of Cadero.

In Maccagno you continue along the lakeside of the outward journey, without arriving in Luino. In fact, near Colmegna take the road that leads to Dumenza. You have entered Val Dumentina where the landscape, with its wide green valleys, is reminiscent of nearby Switzerland.

The small town of Due Cossani is the gateway to the second climb of the day. The approximately seven kilometers that lead to Alpe Pradecolo have an average gradient of 9.5%. Your effort is rewarded by the Dumenza refuge and panoramic views of Lake Maggiore.

From Alpe Pradecolo return to Dumenza and, afterwards, you can return to Luino train station.
