Escape from the Danube fog into the mountains: The tour is a round trip by Gravel.Tirol, which we rode largely unchanged. Exception: After the old Gaichtpass, we stayed on asphalt before Weißenbach because the planned route was too shady for us. Wonderful round trip with great views, but definitely strenuous. With 38 teeth at the front and 42 at the back, we were able to ride everything uphill, although sometimes at full throttle. 40 mm tires were also OK, but I would have liked a bit more tread on the downhill than the Conti Terra Speed. Heiko, who rides better technically, got by well with 35 mm. The Gaichtpass downhill was impressive, but I probably wouldn't want to ride it in the season when there is more going on.
Alpsee, Hohenschwangau, Neuschwanstein, Füssen, Pfronten, and back through the Tannheimer Mountains. A dreamy route!
One of our favorite tours, which connects some of the most beautiful Allgäu gravel sections with the Alatsee, Vilstal and Gaichtpass. Technically quite easy, but with a high proportion of gravel, you roll along quickly and enjoy the varied landscapes and rivers of the Eastern Allgäu and neighboring Tyrol. For a detailed tour description, background information, levels of difficulty, shortcuts, tips and tricks for ideal travel planning, the best accommodation and the tastiest Kässpatzen, get our book ALLGÄU GRAVEL from your trusted bookseller. --> https://shop.delius-klasing.de/allgaeu-gravel-p-2002014/
