This route was planned by komoot.
At times very challenging ride with climbs with significant gradients and technical descents that have to be tackled (for me) with caution. Very beautiful context, for views and scenery, shame about the morning with overcast skies, in any case beautiful day
They have corrected some steps compared to the test done at the end of March. The technical parts remained. Personally I recommend generous coverages (at least a 45) and very agile gears (with a 1:1 ratio some of the climbs in the first part - up to the descent from Passo della Morte - I find them complicated without EXCELLENT training... and not only that) The first part is definitely less Gravel and more XC for slopes and technical parts. Second part more gravel but still not easy in some parts.
Followed the route published on the official website up to km 60 then direct return (tempus fugit). For the first 60 km, the route is decidedly challenging, technical and not easy (80% roads and paths already done). Defining it as Gravel as I like it fits... I don't know how much it can "adapt" to those who think of Gravel in a decidedly more classic way (but here we are really far away... seeing images is believing) One passage has evidently not been attempted (yet) because it is impracticable and has to be done by pushing (uphill). Definitely "REVIEWABLE"
Back to Alto Garda to repeat the tour of 12/27/2023, this time with a group of friends, for an uncomplicated route, this time even more "simplified" and with the inclusion of a couple of variations. Simple but not trivial and with significant slopes (often above 20%).
