Not a nice walk if you're expecting nature paths. Getting into Charleswood is the nicest part otherwise all roads and housing estates

What is the best time of year to hike this loop?

The trail can be enjoyed year-round, but the spring and summer months (April to September) offer the most pleasant weather for coastal and woodland walking.
