SAFETY NOTE
The classic loop route to Lugnaquilla that starts at the Glen of Imaal crosses the Glen of Imaal firing range in two places known as Route 1 and Route 2. Do not continue if you see red flags or flashing red lights anywhere. Plan ahead by checking the Irish Defence Forces website for the schedule:

You can also call the Army Information range at the Glen of Imaal on 045-404653.
Also do not stray from the designated path in view of any unexploded ordnance that may be laying about.

Corrigasleggaun Summit Cairn

Highlight • Summit

Corrigasleggaun at 794 metres (2,604 ft), is the 35th–highest peak in Ireland on the Arderin scale, and the 45th–highest peak on the Vandeleur-Lynam scale. Corrigasleggaun is situated in the southwestern sector of the Wicklow Mountains range, and is part of the large massif of Lugnaquilla 925 metres (3,034 ft), Wicklow's highest mountain. It is registered as an Irish Hewitt.

Better going in the reverse directiopn to this, so the scrambling is at the start of the hike instead of the sttep descent at end.
