On this family-friendly hike you make your way to the Plätzwiese high pasture, which stretches above the Pragser valley.

Starting from the bus stop, you can take a less difficult path in the direction of the Strudelkopf. This takes you past traditional alpine huts and green mountain meadows with an amazing variety of flowers. I particularly recommend this tour if you want to do a relaxed, not too strenuous hike, but still want to be rewarded with a breathtaking view. On the way back you can stop at the Dürrensteinhütte and relax with good food.

In the summer months and at certain times, the Pragser Tal and Plätzwiese are only accessible by public transport or by car with an online reservation. You can see the current regulations here: www.prags.bz. I recommend taking the 443 bus to Plätzwiese, starting from Pragser Tal.
