Hiking
On this round tour you will discover the magnificent nature around the Koschutahaus in the Karawanken. You climb the Mejnik over small, unmarked paths and enjoy the wild landscape.
The starting point is the small town of Zell-Pfarre, which you can easily reach by bus from Ferlach. From there the path leads you in the direction of Zell-Koschuta, with a view of the rugged mountains. Soon you leave the shady forest behind you and hike across blooming alpine meadows to the Kobounikalm. A steep climb takes you up to the saddle between Mejnik and Selenz.
Now a little sense of direction is required. A somewhat hidden and unmarked path leads you steeply through the mountain forest to the top of Mejnik. After a summit rest, you descend on the other side to the Koschutahaus. Here is a stop to replenish your energy reserves with a delicious meal. You hike back to the starting point via the toll road.
