Decided to go for a post covid jab evening walk and was craving being near water due to the sun! If only you could swim in there 😞 such a lovely place so peaceful and you can do lots of other walks from the reservoir.

Not the route we had planned but the storm kept us down at a low level today. We had a nice meander through the woods, stopped for a pie and took in derwent dam before heading back down the far side of ladybower reservoir to the cars. A nice easy route with little elevation and fairly protected from the weather. …

Had to go again to have a proper look at the remains of the Church, Derwent Hall and gardens. Got a bit carried away with the pics but I doubt that I'll be able to see these remains again up close 🙂🚴
