The walk starts at Castle Doorwerth, an imposing medieval castle located on the edge of the Veluwe. Admire the beautiful architecture and travel back in time as you wander through the old rooms and corridors of the castle.

Continue your tour through the enchanting Duno Estate, a green oasis filled with lush forests and rolling hills. Here you can enjoy the peace and quiet as you walk along babbling brooks and idyllic ponds. Be surprised by the beautiful views of the Rhine, which is clearly visible in this landscape.

On the way to the Westerbouwing you will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views. Admire the sweeping landscape and river below as you enjoy a break at this spectacular vantage point.

Kasteel Doorwerth is easily accessible by both car and public transport. If you come by car, there are parking options at the castle. Follow the signs to the parking lots nearby. You can also take the train to Arnhem Central Station and then take a bus to Kasteel Doorwerth.

What a great walk this was. Lovely weather of course and really beautiful surroundings. A bit hilly here and there and lots of variety in terms of surroundings. We already knew some parts a bit from e.g. Rosandepad and Molenbeeksepad, but that actually only made it more fun. We will definitely do this again next season, just to see how …
