Climb to Monte Grappa from Seren del Grappa

Road cycling

The ascent to Monte Grappa from Seren starts from the center of Seren del Grappa (BL) where you will find indications for the Valle di Seren. From here you will enter Val Stizzon and walk the first five easy kilometers up to a bridge where the real climb will begin.

The first three turns will take you to Pian de la Cesa, a small hamlet of Seren where you will find a small church and one last refreshment point before a long, completely isolated stretch.

The road is obtained from an ancient mule track and still partly retains some of its characteristics; that is, a narrow roadway and an altimetric trend with very decisive jerks.

The most demanding part of the climb is between kilometers five and seven where you will need breath and a good leg to stay in the saddle where the slope of the road will reach peaks of 20%.
Once this really tough stretch is finished, you will go up to Bocchette, a beautiful naturalistic area characterized by green pastures, huts and refuges.

From here on, a few short stretches up to the Scarpon Hut, a beautiful recently renovated structure with bar/restaurant service and cozy rooms for overnight stays.

From Rifugio Scarpon to the top of Monte Grappa still about four kilometers, but the splendid view at high altitude and the crisp air will make these last rides lighter.
