Discover the two largest ports on the island on a great 40-kilometer bike tour!
From Burg auf Fehmarn the route leads through the villages of Niendorf, Klausdorf and Presen to Puttgarden and the ferry port. A short walk to the pier of the harbor is worthwhile. Then continue by bike to Marienlampe and from there along the beautiful cliffs to Staberdorf - great views included! From the southern beach, the route takes you along the Burger Binnensee to the Burgstaaken adventure harbour. Here you will find several places to stop and many leisure activities - perfect for a long break. Then it's back to the starting point in Burg.
The entire route is easily navigable by bike and offers you many beautiful views and experiences. The tour is signposted on the bicycle signposts with a sailing ship symbol.

Jo, thank you, was only our first tour. Ŵoĺlten actually started early, but the wind was very strong and that's no fun
A visit to the two largest ports on the island combined with a bike tour along the beautiful cliffs in the east of the island, that's what you experience on this bike tour. The fishing port in Burgstaaken and the large ferry port in Puttgarden could hardly be more different. Here fishing and sailing boats, gastronomy and museums and there the huge ferries on the way to Denmark. In between you drive along above the cliffs and can enjoy the great view over the Baltic Sea; and apart from the lively castle and the Puttgarden ferry port, the round is also pretty lonely. Of course, the physical well-being was also taken care of. The fish sandwiches at the "Fehmarn Island Camp" just before Burgstaaken were excellent.
Fehmarn the third 🚴🚵 for us the most beautiful tour on Fehmarn 👍 the nature 🌳🌻 on the steep coast is just awesome 😉 and there are also enough places to pause where you can find peace and quiet.👍
Today we did another tour around the island in sunshine🌞 and strong winds. Unfortunately it was not possible to ride the Baltic Sea Cycle Route all the way because it is closed from Marienleuchte to Presen. Bd 🌞🚴♂️
Today we started with ☀️and this strong gusty east wind, which is why I turned the planned tour direction. First to the harbor in Burgstaaken and the submarine from the outside. Unfortunately, the museum was still closed, but we can make up for it this afternoon. Next to the south beach with the 3 ugly hotel towers. Then along the coast to Marienlampe, at the construction site to the Belt Tunnel and Puttgarden Mole. From there inland back. Was a great tour and it was right to cycle counter-clockwise.
The tour leads from Burg to the Puttgarden ferry port. Then it goes to Marienleuchte and from there along the cliffs to Staberdorf. Here you can also make a detour to the Staberhuk lighthouse. The route goes back to the Burgstaaken port and to Burg. The route is signposted with a ship symbol on the cycle signposts. https://www.komoot.de/tour/110619902?ref=atd
Very nice tour from Wulfen (parking in the parking lot of the wakeboard facility) via the port of Burg, (you can climb up to 40 m high on a silo, outside of course 😀) further to the lighthouse, then over a bumpy stretch along the sea to a military installation). From there you can continue wonderfully on well laid out bike paths. Then to Puttgarden, which can be saved. But there’s nothing to look at, unless the ferries. You can save yourself that. Then across the island to Burg, where there is a lot going on and there are also some restaurants. We were in the pizzeria Don Camillo e Peppone, normal prices, pizza 10, - recommendable! Probably has good fish too.
Nice tour today. Mostly along the coast in sunny weather. Great paths and, above all, everything is well signposted. The travel time includes, comfortable driving and from time to time a few stops to look at some points on the route. In reality you are faster 🙈
