Magnificent hike, a little too busy, but worth the detour, Viewpoint, river, undergrowth, cliff Swimming possible ...
Gorge hikes are my favorite! Water digging through rock, stone rising majestically. Wonderful! On this one you climb up chestnut-lined paths, later prickly oak and Aleppo pine dominate. When you reach the top, the vegetation is flat and colorful with flowers, lizards dart around and butterflies flit past. The view is magnificent, rocks rise up and more mountains, the surrounding landscape lies like a carpet at your feet. It's so beautiful! The descent through the gorge is just as pretty, rocky paths along precipices lead down. But don't worry, nothing is dangerous here! The rushing of the water accompanies the path, but what I miss is much more of a view of that very water. The gorge is probably too deep and not accessible enough for that. Nevertheless: a great and highly recommended tour!
Hike completed as a couple on November 10, 2025. A superb hike offering exceptional views. The autumn colors greatly enhanced the beauty of the landscapes. A physically demanding hike (plus a few short challenging sections for those prone to vertigo), it could easily be renamed "the 1000 Steps Trail."
Departure directly on fairly steep stairs and it never stops climbing, the landscapes are magnificent but it's very exiting, then we cross the bridge over the river, it goes up but then begins a long descent to the arrival.
