June 26, 2023, Nie schien die Sonne 🌞 so heiß 🔥 wie in Senftenberg

... Viva Viva Senftenberg at 31 degrees 🤩 We drove the 🚘 to the parking lot on the beach in Großkoschen and from there we drove clockwise around the lake with the 🚲🚲. The first stop was at the lookout tower on the South Seas. From above you have a view of the lake including the island, the city harbor and the Bautzen mountains. This was followed by a bathing break near the school camp --> FFK😉 For lunch we went to the Niemtscher Mühle (Greek) 😋 Then we treated ourselves to soft ice cream 🍦 in the Niemtscher Grill. The next stop was at the city harbor with swimming and snacks (Bratwurst) and of course an inspection of the pier before we cycled back to the starting point. Unfortunately there are sad 😢 events in Senftenberg: the Aqua Phönix (solar catamaran) burned down, the missing kayaker has not yet been found 🙈 and the landlady of the snack bar on the South Seas had to tragically leave the world 😭

There is a lot to see and experience on the varied circuit. From all sides you have a good view of the striking nature reserve island in the lake. The passenger ships "Santa Barbara" and "Aqua Phönix" glide across the lake and also offer cyclists the opportunity to shorten part of the way. A longer stop is recommended in the city harbor of Senftenberg - as well as a short detour to the castle. For this varied tour, it is worth planning more time for various rest stops - not only around Senftenberg. Several observation towers invite you to a great view over the lake. Pedal boats, canoes and boards for stand-up paddling (SUP) can be rented at the harbor camp. In addition to swimming, you can also rent surfboards in Niemtsch, and the area between the island and the town harbor offers excellent windsurfing conditions.

First short tour with dog and trailer. A real experience! Our Lua didn't think it was that funny. Only the dog beach she found great!

The ship with my guests was too fast, so I had to hurry to get back to the dock in time. Lunchtime snacks and coffee stops are also important.

On to the last tour around Lake Senftenberg for the time being 😢... Due to the wind, the waves even had small foam crowns, almost a Baltic Sea feeling 💖. The cycle paths are fantastically developed. Not only optimal for handbikers like me 🦽🚲 How fortunate that those responsible have decided to create a lake landscape in the former opencast mining area. At the city harbor not only the swans take a little break 😊. And as a culinary conclusion, a legga schmecka Habbecken in the Sonnenhof.... highly recommended 👍 We would love to come back 🌻

Yes... as the title suggests... 1x easy ride around Lake Senftenberg😁... to treat your tired bones to something good after the boat trip😁
