Today we left quite late. Therefore there was a great shortcut from Traben-Trarbach to Graach... over the ridge... great idea 🥵 As a lowland German, I didn't really realize that the 410 meters of altitude had been reduced to about 2.5 kilometers... Stupid mistake. Unfortunately, the nasty incline doesn't come across in the photos at all 🤷🏼♂️ But once you're at the top, it was worth it🤩 The descent was amazing in bags😍 After dinner in the Machern monastery, there was a wine tasting in a small family winery in Graach 🍷What great wines 🤩
Good morning Yes, active again today. We cycle back from the campsite to Bernkastel and then we climb up vineyard paths with photo stops to the Graacher Schanz. If you want, you can save yourself this excursion by taking a footpath. But it's great fun. You can also continue cycling and then come out again at a well-known point. So either do the same thing again, or turn around. 😉 We cycle back and follow the path. Of course without the little mistakes we had. Via meadows and forest paths it goes down to Traben Trarbach. This is followed by the exploration of the location, which everyone can expand on for themselves. Then it's easy to return via the Moselle cycle path. Cheers papafrog
The weather started to deteriorate and we decided to return by ship.
We took the shuttle bus to the Landshut castle ruins! 5€ per person. From Bernkastel to Traben-Trarbach by boat. 19€ per person and 3€ per bike.
The destination is located at a "bicycle parking area" with good opportunities to connect
The way back is very strenuous, with up to 17% incline
Nice trip but descent is, especially in wet weather, dangerous.
