Canal and River. Boats and bridges. This was a very pleasant easy walk mainly along the banks of the Oxford Canal and River Cherwell accompanied most of the way by the soothing sounds of fast flowing water. The bench kindly provided in memory of 'Bob the Dog' provides a resting place where Bob invites you to 'sit and paws awhile'. Ideally situated, overlooking a field of wheat to the Eyecatcher which dominates the horizon, I took Bob up on the offer and had my coffee break whilst listening to birdsong and the sound of distant church bells. A lovely peaceful evening. Well worth a visit.
