Eindhoven – walk to the nicest pick-your-own gardens in North Brabant

Fancy picking really fresh fruit straight from the tree? Then pay a visit to the Philips Fruittuin in Eindhoven! This is a well-laid-out 9-kilometer walk that starts and ends at the fruit garden and shows you all the beautiful nature Eindhoven has to offer. Because this city is greener than you think!

This route first leads you along the extensive canal nearby, surrounded by greenery. It is especially beautiful here at sunrise and sunset, when the sun seems to disappear into the water.

Next, you will walk to the Philips de Jongh Wandelpark. The historic park is one of the many monuments that Philips has left to the city of Eindhoven. It is named after Anton Philips' wife, Anna Philips de Jongh. The park was donated to the city of Eindhoven in 1920. You can enjoy the monumental trees and spacious, landscaped walking paths here.

From this park, you can walk straight into the Groene Woud (Green Forest). This is the green heart between Den Bosch, Tilburg, and Eindhoven. You'll cover a beautiful part of this National Landscape and can choose to wander around this area a bit longer if a 9-kilometer walk is too short for you.

After this, you will return to the Philips Fruittuin. Anton Philips established the Philips Fruittuin last century as a project to create employment. It is a 12-hectare orchard with apple, pear, and plum trees. In the fruit garden, they use beneficial insects to combat harmful insects.
