The Komoot route for the Laghi di Fusine — ring tour is approximately 4.1 kilometers long and typically takes around 1 hour and 12 minutes to complete. However, this duration can vary based on your pace, stops for photos, and whether you choose to explore additional paths around the lakes.
The terrain around the Laghi di Fusine is varied. You'll encounter forest trails, some uneven sections with tree roots, and rocky areas. There are also wooden boardwalks and paved sections, particularly around the Lower Fusine Lake. The path around the Upper Fusine Lake tends to be more open, while the lower lake path winds through denser woods. Be prepared for some rocky sections, especially near the Upper Lake during high water levels.

If you're a beginner or with family, stick to the flatter, more accessible paths directly circling the lakes.

Given the Komoot classification as 'difficult' and the varied terrain, it's recommended to bring sturdy hiking shoes. Even for easier sections, comfortable footwear is essential. Pack water, snacks, sun protection, and layers of clothing as mountain weather can change. Don't forget your camera for the stunning views!
A visit to the Weissenfels Lakes is worthwhile at any time of year, especially today because both lakes were filled with water. After a night of rain, the air was clear and cloudy. Unfortunately, the clouds lingered throughout the entire hike on the Mangart. The paths were surprisingly dry, and at midday, there were only a few hikers around the lakes. All in all: Laghi di Fusine is always a good choice!
Very beautiful mountain lakes to walk around. We put on sturdy shoes because of the many roots of trees on the path. By car it is best to continue until the last parking space. Highly recommended.
A very pleasant route in a wonderful environment, suitable for everyone. Although very popular, satisfying and worth doing in every season.
A wonderful piece of earth, a tour to enjoy. Easy to walk and always a great view of the lakes. We took a quick swim in it, but it was super cold (still a lot of fun) 😄
