Sanremo Coastal Cycle Path

Highlight • Cycleway

Located close to the sea and built on the site of the old railway, the cycle path that connects various towns on the Riviera di Ponente, including Sanremo, is perfect for anyone who wants to cycle safely. It is always very popular, even with families and children. The Giro d'Italia began here in 2015, with a team time trial between San Lorenzo al Mare and Sanremo.

The cycle path runs along an old railway line, always along the coast with wonderful views of the sea. It is flat, tarred throughout and sufficiently wide. We recommend.

Before Imperia about 1km gravel, but quite easy to ride, even with the racing bike.

On the way on the old railway line, which (summer '21) between Ospedaletti and San Lorenzo al mare has been expanded to two lanes for cyclists and a pedestrian lane 🚴‍♀️🌺🌞 Unfortunately I don't get the pictures sorted in the correct order here at Komoot: The route officially begins in Ospedaletti - great bike rental at the former train station; Along the route there are several stations where, in addition to the initial bike rental, there is service and help and, if necessary, replacement bikes; there are also numerous idyllic cafés that are particularly geared towards cyclists. In San Lorenzo the route currently ends in the gravel bed, but the extension to Imperia is already being planned. It is a fantastic tour that offers a welcome cooling off in the tunnels on hot summer days; The views, the route and entertaining stops are fantastic! Have fun cycling afterwards!

The perfect weather today in Sanremo. 25 km headwind on the way there, and back to Sanremo in high spirits 😉 At the end, wind gusts up to 62 km/h

Finally, with cloudy sky, again to the sea 🌊. Thanks to the navi -update, I also received 2 sea weather warnings. Was good to know 😉😁

All gathered in Ospedaletti to pay our respects to one of our kind.
