Clootie Well

Highlight • Natural Monument

We visited here while on the NC500, and what a peculiar place we thought, small car park close by, a short walk to the spring itself, an abundance of clothing hanging from the trees and bushes. Do learn the history of this to make it a little more fascinating.

Ord Hill Summit Cairn

Highlight • Viewpoint

The summit of Ord Hill is the location of an Iron Age fort, neighbouring that at Craig Phadrig over the Beauly Firth. Whilst the summit itself doesn't have the views the hillside is famous for, it's so close to the main viewpoint and such a pleasant forest run, it would be a shame to miss it.
