We went the way today. It still has a few ice sheets, but can be done with care. Due to the lattice bridges, to run with a 4-leg. We had to wear our 3 times😮. Super signposted.

Great hike on single trails along the Rötenbach. Wildly romantic over hill and dale.

The approximately 11 km long Rötenbach Gorge pleasure trail leads us on challenging paths through the Rötenbach Gorge to the mouth of the Wutach. After an ascent you reach the "Am Hörnle" lookout point, which offers a wonderful view of the Feldberg. Another highlight is the fairytale crab ditch, past the ant path ... ATTENTION there are huge ants there ... 🐜

With the currently very high temperatures, we decided to go on a leisurely shade tour. 80% small stony root paths made the hike a highlight, rightly a Black Forest premium hiking trail.

Today we went on a lovely leisurely hike in the Black Forest. The tour is rightly a gourmet trail. Rustic and wild, narrow rocky paths lead through the Rötenbach Gorge, a real feast for the eyes 😍 total relaxation in nature.

The gourmet trail leads over narrow paths and small bridges through the wild and romantic Rötenbach Gorge. The approximately 11 km long Rötenbach Gorge gourmet trail, which is located in the "Wutach Gorge" nature reserve, leads on challenging paths through the unspoilt Rötenbach Gorge to the mouth of the Wutach. After a climb you reach the "Am Hörnle" lookout point. The wonderful view as far as the Feldberg and far across the gorge landscape can be enjoyed during a rest. The path then leads back and crosses the Rötenbach again at the Rossgraben. It goes back to Rötenbach through the fairytale-like Krebsgraben. A very nice tour, especially on warm days as it is mostly in the forest or by the water. I would love to do it again.

After I couldn't go hiking for a few weeks due to an injury, I decided to go on a weekend trip to the Black Forest for my "reintegration" into the hiking life. Today, starting from the "Hardt" hiking car park, I walked the premium trail Rötenbachschlucht, a beautiful circular hiking trail along the Rötenbach to the mouth of the Wutach, then up to 900 meters to the Hörnle, from which you have a wonderful view over the gorge landscape to the Feldberg Has. The route then led downhill again over the Roßgraben and finally through the Krebsgraben back to the hiking car park, which is located a little outside of Rötenbach. A wonderful tour through the gorge, always along the stream, past small waterfalls and over some bridges.

If you like rooted little paths, this is the place for you. Romantic moss-covered forests, rock formations and lots of water...just terrific....variously beautiful. Sure-footedness definitely makes sense for the tour.....this hike will remain in my very best memory....

It started south of the Rötenbach hiking car park. We took the opposite route as prescribed and so we had the most beautiful part at the end and it sweetened the climb at the end. I also prefer to avoid oncoming hikers by standing rather than getting stuck behind would-be hikers wearing sandals. I'd rather stay at the edge and let them pass! Finally, pay attention to the beaver dens and felling work. Unfortunately we didn't see anyone at work. You need to have sturdy shoes and food - then you'll definitely have as much fun as we did
