Schlossberg Alm

Highlight • Mountain Hut

The Schlossbergalm has a top price-performance ratio. Delicious food at reasonable prices. There are parking spaces for guests in front of the Alm. Ideally, you park outside of town and walk up.

Beautiful round around and to the two castle ruins. The stop at the Schloßbergalm is definitely recommended because it's delicious and cheap 👍.

Somehow the pictures are very duranand 😁

Small Sunday round with @derKlein

After the peaks were covered in fog today, we just stayed underneath *lol*

From Zell we went first to the Drachenköpfle and then back via the castles (castle ruins Eisenberg & castle ruins Hohenfreyberg) and the castle pond.

Relaxed round with some views and about 300 meters in altitude.

Rain was forecast for today, so I didn't want to walk on any slippery rocks on steep slopes. I found the wind at the top yesterday already brisk. I didn't want to be out there in heavy rain, so I opted for shorter hikes in the valley.

Actually, a quiet walk to the castle ruins 🏰 was planned - then a knight's festival awaited us 🛡️- not bad either 👍😅. The first part of the medieval market welcomed us at the Schloßbergalm. Several sales stands and food stalls invited you to linger - the fresh quark balls were really awesome 😍. Then we went to the Drachenköpfle …

A short walk to the two ruins in glorious weather. The forest provided a pleasant coolness.

The view was a bit cloudy, like yesterday. Still, everything was beautiful. Unfortunately, the Schloßbergalm is now closed on Tuesdays as well. The "Gockel Wirt" also serves excellent food.

Suddenly, every spring flower is in bloom. The meadows smell magical.

My first somewhat larger excursion in the Allgäu.

The castle ruins were recommended to me as a destination from various sources, thanks again to @Feli und Mani! I put the tour together myself after studying templates. What can I say? Varied, great highlights, great views, a perfect tour for the “introduction to the Allgäu”.
